Star Wars Galaxies: Game Update 5.6 (TCG release)

On Tuesday, August 26, at 4:00 AM PDT all U.S. and European galaxies will be taken down for server maintenance and a live update.

When the update is complete, all galaxies will be live but unavailable while we complete final testing. All galaxies will be made available after that time.

Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game: Champions of the Force:

The Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game: Champions of the Force is here! The Trading Card Game can be accessed in Star Wars Galaxies by selecting "Card Game" in the game menu or by typing /tcg in the command line.
Beast Master:

The beast minimum, maximum, and damage per second displays on the Examine window of a beast now reflect the beast happiness bonus.

On Thursday, August 21, at 4:00 AM PDT all U.S. and European galaxies will be taken down for server maintenance and a live update.

When the update is complete, all galaxies will be live but unavailable while we complete final testing. All galaxies will be made available after that time. TCPrime will also be unlocked at this time.

Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game: Champions of the Force

The Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game has started the second round of early access beta.
If you are able to play during this early access period, you will receive an in-game email from the sender "Star Wars Galaxies". You will only receive this email once on the first character you log in after the servers become available.
The game is accessed by selecting "Card Game" in the game menu or by typing /tcg in the command line. These commands are visible to all players, but only those who are invited can access the game.
Items:

Players are no longer able to place a greeter in a house other than the house and room where the greeter terminal resides.

Get your first look at the Battle of Echo Base movie shown at Fan Faire 2008! Thomas "Blixtev" Blair and Christopher "Dotanuki" Field walk you through a sneak preview of the heroic encounter, shown in its early stages of development. Chapter 11: The Battle of Echo Base is currently scheduled for release in October 2008, so stay tuned to the official Star Wars Galaxies web site for more news and images of this exciting instance!

Clarification -- anyone who tries the Trading Card Game will receive a Flight Suit loot card at the launch of the game. This includes beta testers and anyone who gives the game a try at launch.

Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game: Champions of the Force

The Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game has started the first round of closed beta.

The game is accessed by selecting "Card Game" in the game menu or by typing /tcg in the command line. These commands are visible to all players, but only registered Fan Faire attendees can acccess the game.

This phase of closed beta is for Fan Faire attendees only. Beginning on Thursday, August 21, the most active Test Center players will also gain access to the beta. If you are part of this group, you will be informed of your access status via in-game email on Thursday, August 21, after 12:00 PM CDT.

If you are part of these beta phases, you will also receive a special loot card! Rewards for the early adopters range from the Rebel or Imperial Life Support Flight Suit (your choice of one per account/non-tradeable) and other awesome items that can all be claimed in the Star Wars Galaxies game. (Please note that the Flight Suit can only be claimed in the Star Wars Galaxies MMO, not the Trading Card Game.)
